Na Sook Wellness Resort in Ao Nang

Na Sook Wellness Resort, an accommodation away from the crowds in Ao Nang, Krabi.

If you love nature but wish to be close to the main tourist activities in the area, Na Sook is a charming option for a relaxing wellness stay in Krabi.
We stayed at Na Sook Wellness Resort just over 6 years ago when the hotel was still in its early days. We had such fond memories of it that we decided to book a second stay there for this new trip to Ao Nang.
What a pleasure it has been to discover the evolution of this haven of peace: a welcoming reception is now present at the estate entrance - for Na Sook stretches over vast grounds covered with trees and vegetation - and an airy restaurant faces it. Although the number of villas has doubled, the calm, restful atmosphere is still there, and the lush green garden remains as appealing to us as ever.

Villas designed to provide plenty of privacy

The spacious, bright, and well-spaced villas feature a bedroom, a kitchen-living room, and a large en-suite bathroom with a dressing area and dresser. Everything is well designed and perfectly equipped for an extended stay; we regretted staying only 3 nights.

Relaxation and well-being

The hotel offers a wide range of wellness activities and courses, including yoga, aqua yoga, trekking and walking, as well as various programs ranging from meditation practice to an introduction to medicinal cooking with local herbs and plants. Massages and treatments are available directly in the villas, upon reservation.
A lovely walk takes you through the estate's wooded park and mangrove swamps to the seafront.

A restaurant featuring organic produce grown on-site

The restaurant is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and serves meals on-site or as room service. Since it rained during our stay (in the rainy season), we preferred to have breakfast delivered to our villa, which is well-equipped with a dining area.
You must order breakfast the evening before, specify when to eat, and choose what you want from the menu. Since we were on vacation and could not decide when to get up, we ordered delivery for 8:30 am. We woke up each morning with our well-packaged, plastic-free bento breakfast on our terrace, along with coffee and fresh juice.

The breakfast menu, just like the restaurant menu, offers few options. Still, the dishes are thoughtfully prepared with fresh, original ingredients.
We ordered a meal for our first evening, exhausted by the journey. Because the restaurant closes at 5:30 p.m., we had it delivered at 6 p.m. and used our kitchenette to reheat the meal later in the evening.

The crab Khao Soy was really delicious and quite hearty. The turmeric fish soup was well-balanced and to our liking. The Nam Prik with tamarind was as spicy as we could wish for, but the mix of fresh herbs to accompany it threw us off a little. We found them too bitter and harsh, yet we usually love herbs with nahm prik. We missed a few reassuringly familiar vegetables such as cucumbers, long beans, or morning glories. But that didn't stop us from eating the nahm prik with the rice!

Na Sook Resort - Wheelchair accessibility

Two villas, next to the pool and the parking area, are equipped with ramps. The access paths are concrete, without gravel. The bedroom is large enough for a wheelchair to easily access the bed, and there are no carpets or rugs on the floor. The kitchen and living room are also easily accessible, and the bathroom has grab rails. We didn't visit the fully-equipped bathroom, so we couldn't confirm that the grab bars and circulation space allow for easy transfers; it's best to contact the hotel and ask for photos of the bathroom to verify that everything is accessible.
